Pastor Allen Thompson
Senior Pastor
Pastor Allen is 42 years old and is a native of Winnsboro, SC. He is a graduate of Fairfield Central High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Ministry from Holmes Bible College. He, also, earned a Master Ministry degree in Christian Leadership from Southwestern Christian University.
Allen is an ordained minister in the South Carolina Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. He has been in Pastoral Ministry for 19 years. He has served the following churches: Terry Creek PHC (’01-’04), Life Springs Worship Center (Associate Pastor-Youth/Children ’04-’08), Johnsonville PHC (’08-’18) and Life Springs Worship Center (’18-present).
He is married to Crystal Thompson of Camden, SC. The Thompsons have two children, Devin (16) and Cassie (7). The Thompsons reside in the Crescent Ridge Community of Lexington.
Pastors Gary and Carolyn Heuer
Associate Pastors-Pastoral Care
Gary and Carolyn Heuer have been involved in numerous aspects of Christian ministry for over 50 years. They currently serve together as our Pastoral Care Pastors and OASIS 55+ Directors.
Through the years they have been pastors, conference speakers, music directors, as well as other singing and evangelistic ministries at several churches. The ministries they have led or directed through the years include small groups, seniors, singles, Christian education, youth, altar and hospitality.
Their heart for missions has enabled them to lead or be a part of around 20 missions’ trips around the word. In 2010 they fulfilled a dream and went with a team to Israel.
Gary and Carolyn have been married for 48 blessed years. They have two daughters, two son-in-laws, and two grandchildren. Some of their greatest joys come from being with their family and especially their grandchildren. They love to travel, minister, sing, teach, and bring encouragement to those who are in need.
One of their mottos and verses of inspiration is found in Proverbs 20:24: “Man’s steps are ordered by the Lord!” (Amplified Bible)
Pastor Larry Shaw
Associate Pastor-Discipleship & Outreach
Larry has been in ministry with his wife, Alesia, since 1996 when they both traveled as part of her family’s ministry, “The Merediths”. Many miles, 3 children, and 25 years later, they’re still going strong!
They have sung all over the United States and Canada. A major component of their ministry has been reaching the inner cities of the US with the Salvation Army, both in their local congregations and in their ARCs (Adult Rehabilitation Centers).
Late 2021 sees them return to Life Springs Worship Center, where Pastor Larry served as Worship & Fine Arts pastor for 15 years. He has also served on staff at Harvest Church here locally as Assistant Pastor. In 2017, he earned a Bachelor of Arts as a double major in Bible and Music, as well as a Master of Divinity in 2021, both degrees awarded from Columbia International University.
Larry, Alesia, and their 3 children (Bria – 18, Patrick -15, and Meredith – 12) have lived in the Red Bank/White Knoll community for more than 16 years.
Jim Cooke
Worship Leader
Jim Cooke has been a part of this body of believers since 1993 at our mother church, the West Columbia PH church. He has served Life Springs in many roles over the past 20 years, including teacher, Director of Life Studies small groups, board member, deacon, elder, choir member, back up worship leader, and part of the 180 Street Ministry.
He and his wife Katie have been married for over 25 years and we have two children, Caleb and Zoe.
